The debate triggered by recent publications and research justifying colonialism demands an intellectual engagement with the histories of colonialism, their impact on postcolonial trajectories development, peace conflict. argument that inspired development in societies embraced its modernity project, enlightened governance efficient administration – which turn national consciousness embedded anti-colonial struggles has been extensively critiqued. However, less attention paid to colonialism’s enduring everyday visible continuities. We argue present political moment defined right-wing, conservative insular nationalisms racisms particularly Western polities requires deeper critique.
